Provision for the bereaved and the local community
Remembrance Parks Construction Ltd (RPC) are looking to create a cemetery and crematorium that will have close links with all the bereaved families that wish to use our services, but we also want to develop close links with the local community. We are looking to follow the service standards of our sister site, Birches Crematorium & Remembrance Park by reaching out to funeral directors, local charities, bereaved families and community organisations to encourage the fullest use of our facilities.
As can be seen on previous pages of this website, we are seeking to provide the very best of services, all within beautifully landscaped grounds designed for peaceful contemplation.
Provision for the bereaved
We will provide a crematorium to meet the needs of the bereaved throughout the Ribble Valley, avoiding the necessity for families to travel longer distances to older crematoria, with less modern facilities.
We will provide the very highest standards of provision for all who would like to use the services of Calderstones Cemetery and Crematorium. We will provide well maintained gardens with a modern building designed to meet the developing needs of the bereaved.
Customer care will be central to our provision and we will work closely with funeral directors to ensure personalised services are provided with a suitable period of time for families to remember their loved ones and help them through their grieving process.
Provision for the local community
We will support the local community, local organisations, funeral directors and local charities. Members of the local community will be welcome to use the landscaped gardens and, by arrangement any of our other facilities, during normal working hours.
Our equipment will be modern, efficient and designed in the most environmentally friendly manner, to meet or exceed the latest environmental regulations.
We will work closely with the War Graves Commission and provide access to their Military Cemetery whenever the Cemetery and Crematorium is open, matching their high standards of maintenance in our own grounds wherever possible.
Provision for families of those buried in the cemetery
We can assure all families with loved ones buried in the cemetery that no burials will be disturbed during any of the works required to establish a high quality Cemetery and Crematorium. Should you have any concerns please use the contact options to speak to a member of staff who can assist you.
We will provide open and easy access to the well maintained burial areas, Interpretation boards within the site will describe the history of the cemetery and the hospital it served, Well informed staff will be available to guide those who have relatives buried in the cemetery.
